But it’s not new for readers, as the third book, An Offer from a Gentleman, focuses entirely on Sophie and Benedict’s romance, in which they meet and fall in love in a Cinderella-like story.

Sophie Beckett is an illegitimate child of the Earl of Penwood and his maid, who passed away after giving birth to Sophie.
She first met the second Bridgerton son, Benedict, at a masquerade ball hosted by none other than Violet Bridgerton. They share an intimate dance, but Sophie runs away at midnight, just like Cinderella.
Only after two and a half years, the couple reunite and falls in love as Benedict, the knight in shining armor, rescues Sophie from sexual assault.
Benedict Bridgerton later marries and ends up with Sophie Beckett, and the couple moves to his countryside cottage in Wiltshire. They welcomed four children: three sons, Charles, Alexander, and William Bridgerton, and a daughter, Violet Bridgerton II.
The current Season three of Bridgerton was originally meant to focus on Benedict’s romance with Sophie.
However, the show deviated from the book series order and followed Colin and Penelope’s romance instead.
Moreover, Sophie has not been introduced as of the first four released episodes of Season 3. But she might make it to the final part of Season 3, hinting at the dawn of next Season’s romance.
So, the much-awaited love story of Benedict and Sophie might make it in the upcoming fourth Season. However, the showrunners have not officially announced this, so it can vary.
