On May 15, 2024, Trump allies in Congress brought attorney Robert Costello to a committee hearing where he called out Michael Cohen as a serial liar.

Before that, on Tuesday, Trump’s former fixer, Michael Cohen, testified that Costello pressured him to remain loyal despite the mounting criminal charges.

The prosecutor provided a series of emails between attorney Robert Costello and Cohen.

In one of the emails, Costello told Cohen, Sleep well tonight, you have friends in high places, implying President Trump was a friend in high places. Cohen says he knew Trump’s message was clear and said, Don’t flip. Don’t speak. Don’t cooperate.

However, Robert Costello denied those accusations, saying, “I read Michael Cohen’s testimony from yesterday’s trial in New York. Virtually every statement he made about me was another lie.”
