Missin Curfew, an NHL & Lifestyle featuring podcast, released the statement on their Twitter handle about Tony Voce’s death at 43 on July 8, 2024, with no cause mentioned.

Tony Voce was the first Philadelphia native ice hockey player to sign with the Philadelphia Flyers, who also released a statement about the player’s sudden passing and are praying for his family.

He began his journey as a Boston College hockey player and joined the Philadelphia Phantoms (AHL) from 2004-07, the Grand Rapids Griffins in 2007, the Germany Wolfsburg Grizzly Adams (DEL) from 2007-08, and the Ontario Reign (ECHL) from 2009-10.

Later, Tony began working on jobs matching his educational background as a BS graduate with a degree in Communication. He took up the role of Marketing Associate and Financial Advisor.

Tony Voce’s last career venture was as the Director of Player Development & Recruiting at Buckley Sports Management, earning an estimated annual salary of $171,584, according to Glassdoor’s salary range.

According to his LinkedIn profile, he started his Director role in August 2022 and remained in it until his last breath.

Tony Voce was also a coach and business owner with a total net worth of $500 K

Born on 30, 1980, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Tony Voce was an undrafted NHL player who joined the Philadelphia Flyers and made history as the first native.

However, things did not go smoothly in 2007, as Tony had a fight with then-coach Kjell Samuelsson, which led to general manager Paul Holmgren firing the left-wing forward from the club.

Yet the incident did not let his reputation as a professional hockey player get tarnished, so he spent certain years with other teams till 2010.

Tony then began his journey with Two Tony’s Grille, Sysco, and Northwestern Mutual, working in different positions from 2011 to 2021.

During this time, Tony Voce married his wife, whose name remains unknown, and had three daughters: Raya Grace, 13, Mia (age unknown), and Gianna, 12.

Although the exact tenure of his personal life is not public, Tony’s professional life is crystal clear. After leaving the corporate jobs in 2021, the athlete returned to his hockey days and decided to start coaching.

Tony Voce then started his own company, Evolve Hockey, in August 2021 to train teenagers in hockey tricks.

Yet, for whatever reason, he halted his business in September 2022, which seemed to be doing well, as he charged $500 per appointment.

So, if we add up Tony Voce’s earnings and salary from various ventures, his total estimated net worth should be around $500K. Sadly, he won’t be there to enjoy the best days of his life with his family as his sudden death is shocking to all.

May Tony Voce’s gentle soul rest in peace. We at Superslice send our regards to his daughters and family.
