The global star claimed that she’ll be voting for Kamala Harris as she considered the politician a steady-handed, gifted leader who can accomplish much more for the country and its citizens.
Moreover, Swift stated that she had done the necessary research before making a choice, as Harris has publicly spoken about LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and women’s right to own their bodies for decades.
The singer signed her viral post as a Childless Cat Lady, referring to the language used by Trump’s running mate, Senator JD Vance, to describe women who do not have kids. Swift’s endorsement surprised many, as Harris had been focusing on young audiences this election season.

Despite a surge in young voters after her Instagram post, many of her fans, referred to as Swifties, have canceled Taylor Swift. In one recent post, a former Swiftie burned all of the singer’s records and merchandise while claiming her support for Trump.
During the act, the fan stated, “I wouldn’t want to be a childless cat lady like her. If you love cats, you want to let the migrants eat them as pets. That’s why I’m replacing my stuff with the end wokeness stuff.“
Some users remarked that Swift went on the global Eras Tour before she made the endorsement as she knew that people would cancel her following her recent statements on Trump and Harris.

Likewise, the satirical post suggested that Swifties was turning to Trump after security concerns led to the cancellation of her concerts in Vienna in August. A foiled attack occurred at the concert, canceling three sold-out events, which raised safety questions among more than 65,000 attendees.

After Trump’s actions, Swift concluded the dangers of AI and the dangers of spreading misinformation. However, the singer’s statement didn’t faze Trump as he spoke about the incident with Fox News.
During the interview, Trump revealed that he wasn’t surprised by the endorsement and said, “But she’s a very liberal person. She seems always to endorse a Democrat. She’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.“
Following such words, many claimed that the singer had lost an estimated $150 million over boycotting her merchandise and souvenirs after she endorsed Harris for president. However, Swift’s management team has not confirmed such information.
On the other hand, fans worry that the singer’s close circle will be affected by such decisions as her best friend, Brittnay Mahomes, has announced her decision to vote for Trump through her social media.
Mahomes often likes posts related to the Trump-Vance campaign and has defended her opinion.
