If not for the heartbreaking post from Roy Jones Jr. on his Twitter and Instagram about the sudden passing of his son DeAndre Jones, no one would have known Roy had three sons as DeAndre tried to keep himself as private as possible.
DeAndre rarely appeared on Instagram or any other social platforms to make himself known to people as the son of the American professional boxer.
Roy Jones Jr. also seemed skeptical about posting his firstborn, as he and his wife, Natalyn Jones, put a picture of their second child, Roy Jones III, graduating from Findlay Prep Class of 2018.
Yet DeAndre was far from the people’s sight. The most known presence of DeAndre in Roy Jones Jr.’s life was during the single Never Turn My Back, which featured both father and son, along with artist SM Bullet, in August 2023.
DeAndre Jones spent years pursuing music and never revealed much about his life
DeAndre Jones was the eldest twin son of the legendary American boxer Roy Jones Jr. and his wife of over two decades Natlyn Jones born in 1992 and was 32 years old.
He had a twin brother, DeShaun Jones, and a younger brother, Roy Jones III, a UT Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros Guard. They are all from Pensacola, Florida.
Roy Jones III seems to be the only family member apart from Roy Jones Jr. who shares the condolence post about DeAndre.
As for DeAndre, he was a hip-hop musician and the founder of the boy’s group 3D, which consisted of three D’s: DeAndre, his brother DeShaun, and Dyllon “D” Burnside, his cousin.
Although he dedicated his youth to a music career, DeAndre barely attained the success his father received in the music industry, apart from boxing.
Also, DeAndre Jones was never married and had no wife or children, as per the current news. He kept his life as private as possible, and no one knew what he was suffering to the point where he took his own life.

Roy Jones Jr. grew up in a boxing family with a strict Vietnam veteran, ex-club fighter father, Roy Sr., who was harsh on him.
The boxer did not want his children to feel the fear he once had for his father, so he tried to be as warm as possible to his kids.
Yet, DeAndre Jones took his own life on June 24, 2024, which was a huge blow for the Jones family. According to the post, the musician might have been through a tough time, although the entire scenario is still a private matter.
