Ron Edmonds, the Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist, recently passed away at 77 with his wife Grace Feliciano Edmonds by his side.

The couple had been together for over 40 years. It was early 1970s when Ron first saw his then-future wife Grace while working at the Honolulu Star-Bulletin in Hawaii and he was quite mesmerized by her beauty.

Once talking to the journalist Leslie Wilcox, Ron Edmonds said, “I was fortunate one day to walk into the city room of the of the Star Bulletin and I looked across the newsroom and here was this beautiful young lady sitting here.”

According to Ron, he then asked somebody about the lady and learned that she was a news reporter. The two worked together for the fire prevention poster week in which Ron made all the pictures and Grace wrote a caption for them.

However, later when the project published, Ron saw only the name of Grace and he didn’t get the credit for that. So, the two met for some clarity and from there, their friendship started, it slowly blossomed into love and then they eventually tied the knot in 1979.

Photo-journalist Ron Edmonds was survived by his wife, Grace and daughter Ashley

From their over four-decades of married life, Ron and his wife Grace welcomed a daughter named Ashley Edmonds, who was extremely proud of what her father did.

Back in 2009, during his retirement from the AP after 28 years of service, Ron said that the most rewarding moment of his career was when his daughter said that she felt so proud when she told her teacher that the picture on the front of her Weekly Reader was taken by her dad.

At the time, she was studying at elementary level. Grew up with that pride, Ashley always remained close to her father, until his last day.

As per the information we get, the family of three were together in their residence in Virginia when Ron lost his life.

Talking to the media, Grace Feliciano, the wife of Ron Edmond disclosed the reason behind his demise and said, “He d*ed of pneumonia linked to a bacterial infection.” Besides this, no other statement from the family’s side has come out to public.

Well, we The Superslice family also express the sincere condolences to the grieving family. May the almighty grant much power to his wife and daughter.
