A young British rising singer, Maisie Peters, revealed she does not come from a musician family, as some people speculate her parents might be musicians, given her interest in music from an early age.

However, even though Maisie Peters’s parents or no member of her family is pursuing a career in the music industry, they are fond of music.

In a recent interview with F Word Mag, Maisie Peters stated, “I guess none of my family are musical really;” however, she also mentioned her dad was interested in music but kicked out of the recorder club as a child.

According to the reports, Maisie Peters’s father is a teacher, while her mother is a communications worker.

Despite not being musicians, Maisie Peters’s parents supported their daughter’s music career from the start!

During many media conversations, Maisie Peters, who was born and raised in a small town in West Sussex, England, revealed that her father used to buy CDs and take her to gigs all the time, which might have brought her interest in music.

Maisie Peters describes her musical upbringing by saying, “I grew up listening to ABBA and Meat Loaf and Lily Allen and British girl bands. I loved Girls Aloud, I loved the Sugababes.”

Further, she also mentioned being obsessed with Taylor Swift when she was 12 or 13 years old, and with her deep interest in music, she also started writing songs by herself.

However, when the pandemic hit, she got a chance to sharpen her talent and show her work to the world through TikTok and YouTube. Within three years, she gained huge popularity with her albums, such as You Signed Up for This (2021) and Psycho (2021), The Good Witch.

Now, Maisie Peters is one of the young rising singers in Britain who has 1,896,499 monthly listeners on her official Spotify account.

However, the 24-year-old musician confirmed that her success would not have been possible without her parents’ love and unwavering support, with whom she still maintains a very close bond, as shown in her social media account.

On Mother’s Day, Maisie Peters took her Instagram account, appreciating her mother, and said, “Happy Mother’s Day to the absolute baddest there is.
