Rusty Sabich becomes the prime suspect in the Carolyn’s homicide case

Rusty Sabich and Carolyn had a brief affair that ended months before her demise.

Moreover, Rusty gets charged with the case as he was also seen in Carolyn’s apartment the night she passed, and there were fingerprints of him all over her bedroom, and his DNA was also found at the scene.

Call records were further added to the evidence; after everything was against him, Rusty realized that he had been set up.

To find the real assassin, Rusty began his own private investigation that could lead him to solve the case and prove himself innocent.

As Rusty digs into the past, he unravels many mysterious affairs and Carolyn’s unethical activities.

After being charged with the homicide, Rusty’s relationship with his wife, Barbara, worsens

As the case trial begins, Rusty’s relationship with Barbara worsens as he reveals more of his dark secrets.

Barbara also announces her intention to leave him and take custody of their son.

She was the only person to know about Rusty’s affair with Carolyn, so after analyzing things, he suspects that Barbara eradicated Carolyn as revenge.

He also speculates that Barbara left the glass with his fingerprint at the scene to frame Rusty for the homicide.

Moreover, Barbara admits the speculation to be true, but Rusty decides to stay quiet for the sake of his son.

After being unable to prove Rusty guilty, the case gets dismissed, leaving it to be officially unsolved.
