According to property records revealed in 2023, Don Wasek and his wife, Daryn Perry Wasek, own a 10,000-square-foot house near Austin. They also own two condos in Austin and a vacation home in Telluride, Colorado.
But unfortunately, the lavish properties of the Wasek couple became the center point of unlawful acts. Their son Mitchell Wasek allegedly fitted a secret camera at their residences and recorded people in their bathroom and bedroom.
The case eventually came to light after some guests of his parents’ lake house noticed a camera hidden in the bathroom wall and filed a report.
Later, during investigations, officials discovered a total of 68 videos that dated back to 2021, and the footage showed people “using toilets, showering, changing clothes, and/or having s*x.”
Eventually, in October 2023, police arrested Mitchell and charged him with 21 counts of invasive visual recording. Mitchell’s life has turned upside down, but his parents have yet to release a public statement.
Netizens say Don Wasek’s wife, Daryn, passed away, but to what extent is it true?
As per DailyMail reports, people from Don Wasek’s hometown took to social media and began gossiping about the family after his son Mitchell’s arrest.
Addressing Mitchell’s arrest news, one woman named Glenda reportedly wrote, “His parents were very nice businesspeople. I have his mom’s lamps in my house after she passed away.”
Well, if we consider the comment, it’s crystal clear that Mitchell’s mother, who we believe is Daryn, is no longer alive. But since Don has never openly talked about it in the public sphere, the credibility of the passing news is still lacking.
Meanwhile, according to our information, Don Wasek married his wife, Daryn, on October 23, 1992.
Note: In James Reid Perry’s obituary, Daryn’s name is mentioned in James’ children’s list, and Don as her husband. Likewise, Mitchell Wasek is named as James’ grandchild.
