Foreign policy contributor David Tafuri married the Ukrainian-born-model Anastasiia Vakula in the Virginia countryside on September 5, 2021, in a typical American ritual.
Six months later, he posted an appreciation post on his Instagram, valorizing his wife’s Ukrainian culture. In the post, he mentioned that though he and his spouse tied the knot in an American style, his wife’s Ukrainian tradition didn’t go unnoticed as they celebrated it in different ceremonies.
During all these wedding rituals, he witnessed how enriched and varied Ukrainian culture is in terms of its arts and music.
In the further caption, David unhesitatingly showed his support for Ukraine amidst the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
David Tafuri wrote, “No matter how depravedly Putin directs Russia’s effort, how deeply his mercenaries penetrate inside Ukrainian lands …, he will never conquer the fierce and invulnerable spirit of the Ukrainian people, including my wife, Anastasia.”

On May 18, 2023, David Tafuri announced the news to his virtual family, introducing his newborn son, Torian Tafuri.
David shared the good news on his social media, writing, “One of the newest humans on our wondrous planet.” In the meantime, he added that both the child and the mother are healthy and happy.
Recently, on May 16, the Tafuri couple celebrated their son’s second birthday. The couple often flaunts their lovely baby on their social media.
David Tafuri’s better half, Anastasiia, is an environmentalist and a model
Over the years, David’s gorgeous wife, Anastasiia, has professionally accomplished much on her own. As a model, she got to model for the renowned magazine Elle.
Likewise, she has worked with magazines such as House, Fort Lauderdale Magazine, and several others.
Besides being a model, she also is an environmentalist. On April 23, 2021, David shared a post on Earth Days, mentioning how proud he was of his then-fiancee and now-wife for her service as World Bank climate ambassador.
Similarly, Anastasiia also participated as a speaker in the Global Youth Climate Network in 2021, and David proudly shared his wife’s triumphs on his social media.
