Former NBA point guard Darius Morris recently passed away at the age of 33. Officials discovered his lifeless body on May 2, Thursday.
On Saturday morning, Darius’ family released a statement through TMZ, saying, “With great sadness, we announce the passing of our dearly beloved son, Darius Aaron Morris.”
Further, the player’s family requested the media to respect their desire to maintain privacy in such grieving moments. They also wished for grace.
Well, it’s very obvious that his family suffered intense pain from an unexpected tragedy. However, they remained with Darius during his journey to the afterlife.

Further, information surrounding his unexpected passing has been kept away from public access. So, there seemed to be several speculations and suspicions about what had happened, as the basketball player had already received a life-threatening warning before.
In 2021, Darius Morris’ ex-girlfriend Kristen Summer dragged him under the law, accusing him of assault, and the basketball player claimed that she made him fear for his life.

Similarly, his ex-girlfriend, Kristen Summer, lamented for him through her Instagram despite having such a conflicting past with him. She wrote, “It’s hard to mourn someone who loved you so much, that every time you tried to leave, he would rather k*ll [sic] you first.”
She also shared some of their happy moments on her social media handles. But, rather than accumulating compassion from people in such a sad moment, Kristen faced backlash. The grieving post is no longer available.
