In 2022, while reflecting on his life before fame, famous singer and songwriter Alex Warren said he experienced more difficulties than an average adult, mainly because he was evicted from his parents’ home as a minor.
In an exclusive talk with Tudum, Alex said, “When I was 17, about to turn 18, my mom gave me an eviction notice, and I just left. It was a very toxic household.”
Well, his mother was an alcohol addict, and that might be the reason why she was so out of her mind that she kicked her minor son out of her house.
Whatever the situation was in the meantime, it’s a fact that Alex’s mom is no longer alive now. She passed away of liver and renal failure in October 2021.
After her passing, Alex shared a post on his Instagram, expressing his satisfaction that his mom has finally been able to rest eternally with his dad. In the caption, he wrote, “I know you were hurt and in pain and now you’re finally resting in peace.”

Singer Alex had the best childhood memory of growing up with his mother and father. But, in 2009, when his father lost his life to kidney cancer, everything in the Warren family turned upside down.
While responding to the question regarding real self-awareness with Tundum, the Before You Leave Me singer said that he lived his childhood in a very privileged position. But as his dad passed away and his mom became abusive and alcoholic, his life experience reversed.
But still, Alex Warren remembers his parents so dearly and respectfully. He bid goodbye to his mother, dedicating a post on his Instagram speaking highly of her.
Likewise, he often recalled his dad as his best friend. On November 13, 2019, sharing several glimpses of his family on Instagram, he wrote, “10 years ago I lost my best friend. Dad, I love you so much. F*ck cancer.“
