Amazon Web Services (AWS) CEO Adam Selipsky announced he is stepping down next month after his three-year tenure to spend more time with his wife, Laura, and children, Nina and Drew.
Adam has been working with the AWS company for over 15 years and became CEO in 2021. Under his supervision, AWS sales doubled from the previous year’s $45.4 billion to $90.8 billion in 2023.

On Tuesday, May 14, Adam wrote in a memo to his colleagues that now is an appropriate time for him to make a transition and believes the company is in good hands.
He further added, “to take the opportunity to spend more time with family for a while, recharge a bit, and create some mental free space to reflect and consider the possibilities.”
Like Adam, his wife, Laura Selipsky, is also an active philanthropist!
Born in 1966, Adam Selipsky married his wife, Laura Szlyk Selipsky, in 1993 at the age of 26.
Adam and Laura Selipsky have two children: Nina Selipsky and Drew Selipsky.
