Two-time PGA winner Grayson Murray recently passed away at the age of 30, leaving his family, including his parents, Eric Murray and Terry Watkins Murray, behind, sobbing and broken.
The news of his demise took the media by storm after the PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan made an official statement on May 25, saying, “We were devastated to learn – and are heartbroken to share – that PGA TOUR player Grayson Murray passed away this morning. I am at a loss for words.”
Just a day before, Grayson had pulled himself out of the Charles Schwab Challenge, citing some illness; now, he is no longer there.
Well, truthfully, Grayson lived a pretty challenging life as he struggled with alcohol abuse and also mental illness.
But whatever happened in his life, his parents, Eric and Terry, always stood with him as his strong supporters.

On Mental Health Awareness Month in 2023, golfer Grayson Murray openly discussed his battle with anxiety and depression. He said that his parents have been through hell and back with him for the last six years.
Grayson has mentioned his mother and father in several other events as well, saying that they have been his greatest supporters.
In 2017, his father, Gary, also spoke to NBC, saying he admired his child for the strength that he displayed even in his worst situation. He said, “I have seen first-hand how hard it’s been. Most people would have given up. Said it was too hard. Gone and got a real job.”
Gary’s words clearly exhibit his understanding level regarding all these unseen mental health issues. Not only him but his whole family is pretty sensible when it comes to human’s internal struggle.
In this regard, Grayson once spoke about his other family members, saying they consistently supported him in his dark days. “I have a beautiful fiancée.. parents.. nephews, siblings. Everyone in my life right now who is close to me and has been through the struggles with me is a team effort.”
Well, for your information, Grayson Murray was the youngest child of his parents, Eric Murray and Terry Watkins Murray. His brother Cameron Murray, who is 8 years older than him, is now a business owner.
Similarly, his sister Erica Robinson, 34, is married and is a mother of two adorable sons. Further, Grayson was engaged to Christina Ritchie, whom he met in 2021. All of them were so proud of Grayson for what he achieved despite his personal battles.
Unfortunately, Grayson is now no longer alive, and it’s the most difficult phase for all his family members. Well, nothing to say further. May god give more strength to the Murray family to pass through such a grieving moment.

In September 2021, Grayson posted a lengthy post on his Instagram in which he mentioned how his family’s life changed after his mom had a terrible accident.
He wrote that an SUV ‘crushed his mom in between vehicles,’ and thankfully, there were fully dedicated nurses and doctors who gave her a new life. She underwent 11 surgeries.
In the post, Grayson admired his mother’s courage and wrote, “Mom, we love you, and we love how brave you are.”
According to her Facebook information, Terry owns Sadie’s Treasures, a business selling handmade floral designs. She graduated from Garner Senior High School.
On the other hand, Grayson’s father, Eric, was involved in the ‘auto parts industry,’ NBC reports. However, his Facebook suggests that he is currently a director at Tarheel Golf Foundation, Inc.
