On May 15, 2024, Trump allies in Congress brought attorney Robert Costello to a committee hearing where he called out Michael Cohen as a serial liar.
Before that, on Tuesday, Trump’s former fixer, Michael Cohen, testified that Costello pressured him to remain loyal despite the mounting criminal charges.

In one of the emails, Costello told Cohen, “Sleep well tonight, you have friends in high places,“ implying President Trump was a friend in high places. Cohen says he knew Trump’s message was clear and said, “Don’t flip. Don’t speak. Don’t cooperate.“
However, Robert Costello denied those accusations, saying, “I read Michael Cohen’s testimony from yesterday’s trial in New York. Virtually every statement he made about me was another lie.”

Attorney Robert Joseph Costello, 76, was born on January 4, 1948, to his parents, Peter John Costello and Barbara Theresa, in New York City.

In addition, he was an unofficial advisor to Michael Cohen at the time of Cohen’s federal investigation for his part in paying adult star Stormy Daniels to stay mum, as per the New York Times.
