With a heavy heart, the Love & Marriage: Huntsville fans are pouring condolences for the star Keke Jabbar, who passed away on July 2, 2024, at 42, which they would not have believed if not for her family confirming the news.
Keke’s cousin LaTisha Moore Scott, whose feud with the OWN star was evident during their time in the show, made the first announcement on her Instagram.
Blogger Marcella Speaks further confirmed this on her YouTube Live by reading the statement released by the Keke Jabbar family.
It goes like this, “It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Keke. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love.”
However, the major focus after the news was Keke Jabbar’s husband, Ameen Jabbar, who had just entered 16 years of their marriage on December 31, 2023.
They were also parents to three children: two sons, Amaree and Ace, and a daughter, Aubree, who are currently mourning Keke’s sudden demise.
All of Keke Jabbar’s cousins have come forward to give their condolences to the family
Keke Jabbar, real name Ne’Keshia Dawson Jabbar, was born to her parents, mother Constance Dawson Lewis, and father whose name is unknown, on October 23, 1981.
Her parents had her in their teens, given that her mother was 16 and her father was 18. She was the eldest grandchild of JoAnn Dawson, her maternal grandad.
She graduated from Jess Lanier High School in 2000, joined Alabama A&M University in 2004, and completed her degree in 2008.
Later, in August 2008, Keke Jabbar became an English professor at her alma mater, teaching Freshman Composition and World Literature. She held the position until death took it away on July 2.
Most of her family members have since shared the news on their Facebook. Starting with her siblings, Keke’s Facebook bio mentions her sisters, Martissa Davis and Ash Moore.
Some of her cousins who have shared the news apart from Scott are Courtney Gaines Richardson, daughter of Keke’s aunt Veronica Moore Shabazz.
Keke also had a brother named Godd’s Sonn, who also shared the news with the caption, “Rih sis💔💔💔💔.”
Other members of her family who came forward on Facebook are her cousin, Kieara Toole, and her maternal uncle, Octavius Harper, who asked for privacy instead of his sister, aka Keke’s mom.
Meanwhile, Keke’s husband Ameen has avoided social media, and everyone wishes him to stay strong during tough times for their children.
May Keke Jabbar’s gentle soul rest in peace. We at Superslice send our regards to her husband and family.
