Last night, Drake’s security guard got shot at the rapper’s Toronto mansion amidst the ongoing feud with Kendrick Lamar.
While many are taking the incident as a manipulative act from Drake himself, some fans are connecting the dots with another recent gunfire at Cash XO’s mansion.
Meanwhile, some are speculating and putting it as Kendrick’s act referencing his lyrics in the song, Meet the Grahams. The lyrics were, “I’m lookin’ to shoot through any pervert that lives, keep the family safe.”

OVO & XO are at war & beefing
Although the motive behind both gunfire incidents remains unknown, fans could not turn a blind eye to XO vs OVO beef.
Furthermore, Weeknd appears to be dissing Drake in the song All To Myself from the album We Still Don’t Trust You by Future and Metro Boomin.
Here’s why fans believe XO vs OVO beef is back!
Many thought Drake and Weeknd were on good terms and that the XO vs. OVO debate had died down after several on-and-off beefs.
However, on April 12, Weeknd jumped on the We Still Don’t Trust You album alongside Metro Boomin. The Blinding Lights singer Weeknd apparently took a shot at Drake in the song All To Myself.
He sings, “I thank God that I never signed my life away/ And we never do the big talk/ They shooters makin’ TikToks.”
Here, Weeknd seems grateful for passing up on signing with OVO back in the 2010s. At the time, Drake wanted Weeknd to sign under his label, OVO. But Weeknd inked with Republic Records, to Drake’s disappointment.
Besides that, per Billboard, in the last verse, Weeknd dissed Baka Not Nice, who has gathered a following on TikTok while being an OVO’s muscle. Since then, fans have been aware of the reignited on-and-off XO vs OVO beef.
And now, the two back-to-back gunfire incidents with similar circumstances did not go unnoticed in fans’ eyes.
Furthermore, DailyRapFacts tweeted, “OVO & XO are at war & beefing,” while pointing out the similarities between these two incidents.
On April 29, a security guard was shot multiple times outside the Encino mansion of Weeknd’s manager, Cash XO. And now, Drake’s security guard became the victim of gunfire within a week of the first incident.
You won't get away with just a thank you…you owe me a favor.

What is even crazier is that both of these incidents took place at around 2:00 AM in the morning.
While some are in disbelief that Drake and Weeknd would put shooters on people, some are seeking more proof to call it a war.
Instead, many are entirely oblivious to XO vs OVO, as the entire pop industry is onto Drake and Kendrick’s feud, which is now getting dirty after parents are involved.
Besides the beef, let’s look at XO vs OVA in terms of music stats!
