The Ringer’s Higher Learning Podcast host and media personality Van Lathan and his stylist girlfriend Khalika Abrams have been going strong for quite a few years now, and from the looks of it, there’s no sign of them slowing down.
Although the exact timeline of their relationship is unknown, their Instagram posts and podcasts hint that they have been together for more than four years.
Lathan and Abrams have never officially announced their engagement. However, on multiple occasions, Lathan and his friends have mentioned Abrams as his fiancée on his show.
So, Van Lathan’s fans speculated the couple is not only engaged but also married now, given they wouldn’t announce it just like their engagement. Many of their fans even believe that Khalika Abrams is actually wife of Van Lathan.
In a Reddit thread discussing Van Lathan’s engagement, one user commented, “That line surprised me, but in the opposite direction. I thought she was his wife.“
Amidst all the speculations, Van Lathan and Khalika Abrams have yet to disclose the details of whether they are indeed husband and wife.

On the morning of April 28, 2020, Van Lathan, in a series of tweets, disclosed his mental troubles, saying he was dealing with insomnia and anxiety due to the COVID pandemic and quarantine.
Lathan further explained how the pandemic affected his mental health. During this time, his excitement for future plans changed to dread and guilt because of COVID.
If not for Khalika, I’d be completely lost. The disease in my mind is winning, its up big. I’m trying to take it one possession at a time but I can’t stop turning the ball over. No sleep, no peace, and no joy. I’m thanking God for the sun, and for the grace.

At this sensitive time, Khalika Abrams supported Lathan and helped him overcome his troubles. Lathan mentions in his tweet that without Khalika, he would have completely lost himself.
