Having had a double stint as the prime minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, who is also the longest prime minister in the history of Bangladesh, amassed a net worth ranging between $100,000 to $1 million.
After a series of protests, Hasina resigned from the post of prime minister on August 5, 2024, and moved to India.

As per the affidavit submitted in 2018, Hasina didn’t own any homes but had six acres as property. She had also declared a $5,151.40 (TK 6 lakh) worth of one unnamed vehicle which was obtained as a gift.
As of 2023, Sheikh Hasina’s net worth stood at $374,334.91 (TK 4.36 crore). She had earned $91,866.59 (TK 1.07 crore) in 2022.
The affidavit stated that she submitted to the Election Commission that a significant portion of the amount she earned came from agriculture, which showed a four-fold rise in comparison to what she earned in 2018.
She had an income worth $163,986.16 (TK 1.91 crore) as per her tax return. As of 2023, she had bought fixed deposits and savings certificates worth $64,392.47 (TK 75 lakh) in the past four years.
From 2008 to 2023, Sheikh Hasina’s assets increased from $1,502.49 (TK 1.75 lakh) to $39,957.68 (TK 46.54 lakh). She had also increased her agricultural land property to (9.48 acre) 15.3 bigha worth $5,821.08 (TK 6.78 lakh), a three-story building worth $4,292.83 (TK 5 lakh), and a plot in Purbachal valued at $29,843.76 (TK 34.76 lakh).
So, from all these earnings, Sheikh Hasina’s fortune is a substantial amount.
