American fitness personality Richard Simmons was always busy promoting health and a positive way of life. However, the legend is no longer with us. He took his last breath on July 13, 2024, a day after his 76th birthday, making the situation even more heart-wrenching.
Simmons avoided public appearances after 2014 and went entirely undercover from the media and gatherings.
Because he disappeared from the media, people created numerous rumors about him, mainly that his housekeeper, Teresa Reveles, kidnapped Simmons in 2016.

However, in a phone interview in March 2016, Richard Simmons debunked the rumor, saying that no one was holding him hostage and that he and Teresa were like a married couple who had been together for almost 30 years.
Then came another major rumor in 2017 that Richard Simmons had undergone gender reassignment surgery started by the National Enquirer, for which he sued them for false claims.
Later, Simmons clarified that he had not undergone any surgery to turn into a woman, was single, and had not been in any relationship.

Finding a publicized relationship of Richard Simmons is somewhat rare as he was not open about his personal and dating life.
Further, as he was a secret person, Simmons was not flexible enough to talk about his sexuality. He let people judge his personality and sexuality, as many said he was gay or might be queer.
Even the Instagram post of the wigs and drag make-up added fuel to the curiosity, as everyone wanted to know Simmons’ reality, and they would have supported him as much as possible.
However, Richard Simmons never accepted that he was gay and did not ever mention having a partner. He was also not married, so having a wife was never a chance.
Richard Simmons’s only known dating partner was a Swiss adult actor, Daniel Holt, but this has remained speculation to the present.
Now, finding the truth is even impossible as Richard Simmons passed away at his home in Hollywood Hills due to natural causes on July 13, 2024.
