The English singer and songwriter Raye is proud of her mother, who gave all her life working for mental patients.
On March 26, 2020, she posted a tweet praising her mom, which said, “my mum has dedicated her whole life to the NHS, I’m so in awe of her and her selflessness #nhs.”
In an interview with F Word magazine, Raye Singer further explained the profession of her mother.
Regarding her mom teaming up with her professionally, Raye said, “She’s [her mom] worked in the NHS all her life so she is the next, hopefully, in a year or two she will be able to join the team.”
Moreover, when asked, ‘What did she do in the NHS?’ she answered, “She worked in mental health.”

Well, Raye considered her mom a selfless person because she dedicated her whole life to serving without asking for the amount she deserved.
Regarding this, My 21st Century Blues singer said, “I know they get paid terribly, Free healthcare is something really beautiful that a lot of countries don’t have, so I just think we really have to protect our healthcare system.”

In several interviews, Raye has repeatedly mentioned that she comes from a musical family.
Her mother, Sarah Keen, and father, Paul Keen, were into music. In an interview with Stylist, she said, “I grew up in the church around my mum singing in the choir and my dad leading worship.”
Further, with Instyle, Raye stated, “I grew up always hearing my mum and my dad singing everywhere with music everywhere; a lot of soul, jazz, gospel.”
With such a background, there’s no doubt that Raye Singer’s parents supported her in her music career from the start.
Besides being a health worker and singer, Raye Singer’s mother, Sarah, also worked as an insurance broker.
