Since June of last year, The New York Times has regularly released the game Connections with different difficulty levels daily. It is a free game that you can play on the NYT Website or games app, and it refreshes at midnight every day.

In the game, you have to make four groups of words, each consisting of four. Remember, the words in the groups will have something in common, but the twist is that each group has a varied difficulty.

The yellow group is relatively easier to identify, whereas the purple group can be the trickiest.

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the meaning of Stoop in today’s NYT Connections is a porch, platform, entrance stairway, or small veranda at a house door. Apart from that, Stoop also has other meanings, such as an act of bending the body forward or lowering oneself morally.

Similarly, Droop means to hang or incline downward or to sink gradually. But this meaning has nothing to do with the puzzle.

Dope has informal meaning of information especially from a reliable source. For instance, “the inside dope on a celebrity’s new romance.” Lastly, Sizzle means to burn up or sear with or as if with a hissing sound. And it’s a red herring in today’s NYT Connections.

Now, if you want to solve the puzzle on your own from this, don’t scroll down as it contains answers!
