American-born Noah Lyles, six-time world Champion Track and field athlete, has always been open about his faith in God during interviews.
He recently made the record by winning the men’s 200-meter in record time at the US Olympic track and field trials in 19.53 seconds.
Noah also once talked about his experience with the Diversity and Inclusion reporter Christopher Reidy.
During the interview, he revealed that his mentality and faith are the key factors in his successful career.
He said, “I believe that God has put forth everything that I need to succeed. If there is a challenge, then He is giving me the challenge because He knows I have the tools and resources to be able to overcome that.“
However, Noah Lyles does not reveal his religion, whether Christian or Jewish, but he seems to believe in faith.
Noah Lyles strongly urges people to have a positive mentality and faith in God
The 26-year-old Noah Lyles is a man of God who takes even the bad output with a positive mentality and converts it into inspiration and power.
Previously, in 2020, when he received the Bronze Medal at the Tokyo Olympics, many people thought he might have been disappointed by the results.
However, the athlete released a tweet talking about his feelings of being defeated by the player, writing, “Maybe it wasn’t my time. God said that you’re affecting a lot of people, and you don’t have to win to affect those people.“
Further, he also said that maybe someone else needed that light more than he did.
The athlete thinks it would be selfish to constantly think about oneself only because “Sometimes it’s about other people.“
With deep faith in God, Noah is now heading to compete at the Olympic Games in Paris 2024 after winning the 200 meters on Saturday at Hayward Field, Eugene. He broke Michael Johnson’s trial record of 19.66, which had stood for 28 years.
