Mason Disick, the eldest child of media personality Kourtney Kardashian, was missing from recent episodes of The Kardashians, which raised questions about his whereabouts. But he appeared in Kylie’s home for the season 5 finale with a new look, which shocked the viewers.
After Kourtney’s new-found relationship with Travis Baker, Mason Disick had been missing from the show as he went to live off with his dad, Scott.
Moreover, the oldest child appeared on screen for the first time in years, attending Kylie’s house party in a denim-on-denim look with his new floppy hair.
During his time on the episode, Kourtney talked to her son and embraced him while repeatedly saying, “My son,” while the teen had a shy expression on his face.

Recently, Mason launched his new Instagram account, which has gained over 877k followers in a month. On it, he often posts pictures with his friends, flaunting his new-found dressing style.
When asked about Mason Disick’s absence from the show, Kourtney revealed that he wanted a break from the family drama and to live as a normal teenager, enjoying his school life and quality time with friends.
On the show, the media personality blamed her ex-husband, Scott, for the distance between her and her children, saying, “He allows them to have all the sugar and junk food they want and watch what they want. He buys them anything they ask for. It’s no surprise they all love going to his house.“

Growing up with the cameras constantly pushed into his life, Mason has revealed that the experience has stripped him of his childhood.
When the original show rebranded, Mason took a step back and didn’t appear in the episode featuring Kourtney and Baker’s wedding, which took place on March 22, 2022, in Australia. He wanted to be in L.A., as Kourtney’s new relationship took a toll on her children.
Previously, Mason ran away from home following a heated argument with Baker after the teen made critical comments about the singer in a livestream and later received disapproval from his mother. After such an incident, private investigators helped the family find Mason.
Talking about her experience with children of different ages, Kourtney claimed, “I really do try to set aside one-on-one time with each of my kids. I don’t want to miss anything. It’s like a feeling of being pulled in different directions, wanting to be everything to everyone.“
Because the family and their affairs are so public, critics have targeted Kourtney’s parenting style several times. She even has had to defend herself to several internet users.
On the other hand, Scott mentioned that his relationship with his children has been going smoothly, especially with Mason, adding, “He’s great; he’s really been unbelievable. We’re closer than ever.“
Fans hope that Mason’s absence from the show will be temporary and eventually want to see him in the spin-off series about the Kardashian children.
