Lauren Laverne, BBC presenter and Radio DJ, has been diagnosed with a type of cancer and is receiving treatments in the hospital, as she revealed through her recent Instagram post on August 21, 2024.
Although the 46-year-old television presenter has not revealed what is the type of her cancer, she confirmed it is curable.
Many people on social media are speculating that Lauren Laverne might have Skin or Breast cancer, as it is the most common cancer among women in the US.
Moreover, as Lauren Laverne revealed she would soon be free from cancer, there is a possibility she might have the type of cancer with lower risk or that has a higher chance of recovery.
Lauren Laverne feels relieved as she found out about her cancer early before it could get worse!
BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs presenter Lauren Laverne thanks god for finding out about her cancer before it could spread to her healthy organs.
In the following cancer announcement post, Lauren Laverne stated, “It was (thank God) caught early and unexpectedly during a screening test, and I am expected to make a full recovery.“
If the In You Car singer had not caught the cancer in time, it would not have been easy to recover soon.
Therefore, Lauren Laverne also urges other people to get health checks often to avoid fatal diseases in the future; as she mentioned, “Half of us will get cancer at some point, and if you do, finding out asap is everything.“
Further, through the post, Laverne deeply thanks the medical teams helping her with treatment, her dear family and friends, and her colleagues for their enormous love and support during this moment in her life.
