A few days back, the clip of JP Staples, who was later identified as a student of Ole Miss: The University of Mississippi, went viral on the internet, in which he was captured demeaning a black protester, making a monkey face.
As soon as the clip swirled over the internet, many bashed him, calling him a racist. Social Media was flooded with hateful posts not only for JP Staples but for his parents, Albert James Staples and Bethany Bailey Staples, as well.
Netizens started criticizing his parents, saying that they must be ‘wealthy GOP donors and active in their evangelical church.’

Likewise, some others mocked his parents’ emotions, passing comments like, “Look, Your son is getting popular for racism, The apple won’t have fallen away from the tree, Mom and Dad must be so proud 🥲” and others.
Despite not having a direct connection with what their son did, they get dragged into the issue as people question their upbringing.
Whoever and however they are, we believe that they must have felt mortified in their neighborhood as their son earned them nothing good but disappointment. That may be the reason why JP’s parents maintained a distance from all this criticism and media appearance.
JP Staples hails from a respectable family, but his father also seems to have scarred his family image in his 20s
Though JP Staples became popular for his notorious act of demeaning black protestors, he hails from a respectable family in Texas.
His late grandmother, Janice Staples, spent her life indulging herself in philanthropic work. She actively worked with the women’s organization Junior League of Richardson and volunteered for several events.
Likewise, Janice also served as the Sunday school teacher at Park Cities Baptist Church. Since her husband, James Staples Sr., passed away too early, Janice always celebrated her relationship with god, which shows that she was a religious person.
Similarly, we found JP’s great-grandfather was Dr. James Reley Staples. Well, that’s all his family ancestry.
Despite coming from such a background, JP’s father, Albert, appears to have taken the wrong path in his 20s. On May 4, 2024, a Twitter user named William Coffin provided evidence displaying Albert’s misdeed, tweeting, “his father was a MUCH bigger f-up well into his late 20’s!!! $80,000 in fines for drunk driving before the age of 24!!!???“
Besides that, no other details on his dad and mom Bethany have come out as they haven’t shown their face in the media and interacted with them.
But, their son, JP Staple, seems to be unbothered by all these issues as he recently posted an Instagram post stating, “I am not racist enough.” It shows how careless he is toward such a sensitive issue.
Well, whatever the matter, we also have to consider the possibility that the particular Instagram account may be fake, right?
