The user’s complete statements read, “I’m not 100 % sure, and this is clearly a serious situation but after a few reports and some information, it sounds like former players and New Jersy native Johnny Gaudreau, along with family members, have tragically passed away in a freak accident in a Philadephia.“

Although the post has been deleted from the account, a player fan who took a screenshot of the post reported the news while warning the person, “If this is a mistake about Johnny Gaudreau, then shame on you. @DylanRobillard.”

Further, in a previous statement, he also expressed anger and disgust toward the person who spread sensitive news, such as a seemingly accidental accident or demise, on social media without providing any substantial evidence. He also claimed that whether the news is true or false, it’s not his call to break it.
However, there are people who blindly believe the news and have started paying tribute to the players and families, spreading RIP posts all over the internet.
