The American rapper, singer, and songwriter Jelly Roll grew up as the only child of his parents and the youngest brother of his half-siblings.

Jelly Roll is a family guy and he cherishes his relationship with every member as he also often posts about his mom and siblings on social media.

He is the only son of his late dad, Horace “Buddy” DeFord, and his mom, Donna DeFord. Before welcoming him, his old man already had three children from the previous relationships.

The singer often posts photos of his half-brothers, Scott DeFord and Roger Vaughn. However, his sister, Shelby Vaughn, has remained away from the limelight.

Apart from half-siblings, Jelly Roll also has a brother and sister who aren’t related to him in any way!

As mentioned earlier, Jelly Roll has three half-siblings, all older than him. According to him, his father was married more than two times, but he is the only child in his parents’ union.

The musician Jelly Roll has a close-knit bond with his siblings, who often join him at festivals or other occasions.

In June 2020, the three brothers hung out with all their kids on Father’s Day at Hilton Head Island, SC, and honored their late father.

Besides his half-siblings, Jelly Roll also refers to his fellow country singer, Lainey Wilson, as “my sister.”

Speaking with ET magazine, he stated their relationship: Lainey Wilson’s my sister. That’s just my sister. That’s how I look at her.”

He added that it was great that they were both in their careers, at the same record label, and had a song together. When they look back, it will be a golden era for them.

In October 2015, Jelly revealed through his Facebook post that they had put together a meaningful song that was inspired by the loss of little brother Mondo.

The singer also asked everyone to share the song so that his little brother’s memory might continue to live on within each of them.

Mondo, who also goes by the name Armando Smoot, was not actually related to Jelly Roll. Mondo was actually close friends with Mondo, who was featured in one of his rap videos, Wish I Wasn’t Gone.

Well, Jelly Roll likes to call people he likes his sister or his brother. Maybe it’s his way of showing love.
