The marriage of musician JD Souther with his first wife, Alexandra Sliwin, is not new news for his fans, as they were married for a year before calling it quits.
Following the divorce, the musician dated many, who later became a source of inspiration for his songs.
Eventually, he married his second wife, Sarah Nicholson, but unlike in his past marriages and relationships, the couple kept their love life hidden.
The former couple then called it quits after six years. Following the divorce, Sarah has remained low-key and away from media scrutiny.

JD’s first wife, Alexandra, was in the music business as she and her sister, Joan Glasser, along with two others, Laura Polkinghorne and Marsha Temmer, were in a girl group, Honey Ltd.
On the other hand, unlike Alexandra, JD Souther’s second wife has a different career line as she is a confectioner.
Sarah Nicholson operates The Bang Candy Company in Marathon Village, which was considered rogue because she had no formal culinary education.
One might wonder how she started out, considering she never trained for it, but it was her mom, Kate Nicholson, who heavily influenced her.
Sarah’s mom taught her so much about food while growing up, and she learned to cook in France. She also has experience running a guesthouse, and as a young lady, she learned to cook decadent feasts for the guests in the evenings.
She revealed in an interview, “It was a family affair—all hands on deck, so to speak—so I learned lots of technical things and also her flair for trying new things, experimenting with flavors, and being generally inquisitive about food.“
While Sarah did learn about food, her mom didn’t allow her to eat sweets. So, she used sugar whenever her mom wasn’t in the kitchen.
She once tried to make meringue mice, which she found in a cookbook. Unfortunately, the dish was a disaster, but she ended up eating it despite that.
Sarah ventured into this journey back in 2011 and hasn’t looked back!
It all started in 2011 when Sarah tried a handmade marshmallow at Arnold Myint’s restaurant, Cha Chah. She still remembers that moment, amazed by the deliciousness of the homemade confection compared to the store-bought variety.
She enjoyed using the mallow as a canvas for flavor and figuring out all types of other traditional candies that could be changed to her tastes.
In 2021, she revealed in an interview with NFocus magazine that she was working on a new D8 chocolate called D8 Dream Drops, a Belgian milk chocolate.
It is chocolate crushed with coconut, honeycomb coffee, sea salt, and poppy candy.
Operating a company is a huge undertaking in itself. It has allowed her to appear on interesting TV shows, make signature sweets for special occasions, talk to students at Owen Graduate School of Management, and teach classes.
JD Souther and Sarah Nicholson first met in Ireland during a vacation!
Sarah and JD married in 2004 and remained married until 2010. The former pair met while he was on an extended vacation in Ireland. Soon after, he settled in Nashville, Tennessee, with her and her daughter, Anja Nicholson.
While the reason behind their divorce remains a mystery, JD lived on a farm outside Nashville following the separation.
Also, before marrying her, he shared a marital life with Alexandra Sliwin, whom he met in LA around the 1960s and started dating.
They married in 1969, and after their marriage, he requested that she quit Honey Ltd., which she did, too. Unfortunately, their marriage could not stand the test of time, as they divorced in 1972.
Following that, JD dated Judee Sill and later was linked to singers like Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Judy Collins, and Stevie Nicks. After Judee and JD broke up, he started dating Linda Ronstadt.
They lived together during the 1970s and were one of the hottest and most talented couples in LA.
However, they broke up, and despite that, they remained close friends and credited her for being responsible for his career. For him, she was a strong songwriting influence.
