America’s youngest gymnast competitor, Hezly Rivera, made her Olympics debut in Paris in 2024 along with Simone Biles, Suni Lee, Jade Carey, and Jordan Chiles.
The height of everyone on the women’s gymnastics team is publicly available, except Hezly Rivera, which makes everyone wonder how tall the promising young athlete is.
While there seemingly is no official information about how tall she is, according to our estimation based on pixels and real heights, Hezly Rivera is 5 feet 2 inches tall.
That said, the young athlete’s actual height might differ, as the calculations were entirely based on an image pixel calculation.
There’s no official height requirement for gymnasts at the Olympics, but certain heights do favor them!
In the recent image of the US women’s gymnastics team released by GK Elite Sportswear, it is evident that the youngest gymnast, Hezly Rivera, on the team, is taller than Simone Biles, who is 4 feet 8 inches tall.
With that, many were curious if the tall height of Hezly Rivera was her advantage or disadvantage for the sport.
For the record, no official height requirements for gymnasts at the Olympics exist. That said, some experts suggest that, depending on the gymnastics discipline, their height may come in handy. In rhythmic gymnastics, most of the gymnasts are taller and have leaner physiques.
On the other hand, in artistic gymnastics, elite gymnasts are relatively shorter, ranging in height from 4 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 2 inches. Furthermore, shorter height provides better balance and rotation, which is crucial for a flawless routine.
So, Hezly Rivera’s height of 5 feet 2 inches does not influence much as she is already excelling and making everyone proud.
Now, you might be wondering how we calculated her height. To do so, we took the image of GK Elite Sportswear, where Hezly Rivera is with Simone Biles, whose height is 4 feet 8 inches, and Suni Lee. From that, we calculated the real height and image pixel height ratio.
From that, albeit it is not 100% accurate, we approximate Hezly Rivera’s height to be 5 feet 2 inches.
