Georgie Campbell, who is a 5-star international event rider, passed away on 26 May 2024 after falling during the Bicton International Horse Trials in Devon.
The 37-year-old English rider’s unexpected demise at an early age has left her parents and husband shattered.
Georgie Campbell was raised in a very close-knit family in Kent. Her parents, both father and mother, were educated people.
Further, her mother, Debbie Campbell, was a GB endurance rider in Kent. Watching her mother riding a horse from an early age made Georgie follow in her mother’s footsteps.
Therefore, Georgie Campbell learned to ride at the early age of 2 with the help of her mother.

Jesse Campbell, husband of Georgie Campbell, is an event rider who runs Team Campbell, an equestrian group based near Lamberhurst in Kent. He competed for New Zealand at the Tokyo Olympics.
The couple met during their professional career and tied the knot on December 13, 2020.
Campbell announced their marriage through his Instagram post, which included a picture of their wedding. In the post, he wrote the caption saying, “Yesterday I got to marry the girl of my dreams. I’m so incredibly lucky to call @georgie_strang_eventing my wife.”
The couple had been together for four years but did not conceive any children.
She used to live in a beautiful village, Lamberhurst, near Tunbridge in England. The couple spent most of their time riding horses and shared pictures on their social media sites.
Before Lamberhurst, the couple were based in Wiltshire; however, after the establishment of Team Campbell Eventing, they moved to Kent.
