According to the statement, Didier Roustan even bought a van with the help of his close friend so children (enfant) could go to school and return safely.

At age 18, he joined TF1 for an internship, where he worked for over 13 years on the TF1 football program Téléfoot. He then started commenting on matches as a sportscaster.

His last commentary match was between Argentina and Canada at the 2024 Copa América. In addition to sportscasting, he ran a blog and weekly podcast called Roustan Foot.
