In the past few months, rumors about the passing of Puerto Rican rapper and singer Daddy Yankee have swirled over the Internet, especially on TikTok, attracting netizens’ concern.
On May 22, 2024, a TikToker named Jorge Villasenor made a video on TikTok claiming that the rapper passed away on May 20 after suffering a double cardiac arrest. But it’s fake news, as nothing has happened to the Daddy Yankee.
He is, in fact, completely fine and doing pretty well in his personal and professional life; his social media account is evident.
Just three days back, on July 1, Yankee shared pictures on his Instagram with the caption, “This Summer is treating me nice. I hope yours is too. God is good!” In the picture, he seems quite happy and relaxed.

Some 18 hours ago, Daddy Yankee updated a post on his Facebook page promoting his two-month-old single, LOVEO, captioning it, “Where do you see love?“
LOVEO was released on May 4, the same month his passing rumor emerged online. Well, whatever the matter is, the song has accumulated over 70k viewers solely on YouTube and 67k listeners on Spotify since its release.
Well, even after its success, Yankee hasn’t stopped promoting the song. Besides, he seems to be occupied with spending quality time with his loved ones.
As he keeps sharing his lifestyle on his social media, evidence that Daddy Yankee has neither passed away nor suffered a heart attack.
