Cameron Kammerer, who was reported missing on August 10, 2024, has been found trapped in the car

Cameron Kammerer, a young man from El Dorado County, California, recently went missing on August 10, 2024 Saturday, around midnight from Rescue.

According to several reports, Cameron Kammerer was last seen at his dad’s home in Sandford, Rescue, with his red/white cattle dog Scout in a dark grey Honda HR-V with black wheels and a roof rack.

Cameron also didn’t have his phone, which made his family unable to contact him. After being unable to contact him, his family reported him missing to the El Dorado County Sheriff’s office. Since Saturday, several search groups and police have been actively searching for his trace.

According to Cameron’s mother, Tonya Carnahan, on Monday, August 12, the Medical and Fire Department found Cameron trapped in his car along with his dog Scout on Deer Valley. She added that Scout was barking but didn’t know Cameron’s condition.

In response to her Facebook post, many people sent their prayers to Tonya and her family, hoping for positive updates, but unfortunately, because of severe injuries, Cameron Kammerer couldn’t survive.

Tonya Carnahan shared a heartfelt post on her Instagram confirming Cameron Kammerer’s demise on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. She wrote, I’ll forever be grateful for everyone who shared Cameron Kammerer’s missing post and put boots on the ground to find my son.” 

She further revealed that Cameron drove on Starbuck Road, turned around to get back, hit a boulder, and went off the road. People found his vehicle upside down in a creek under a bridge.

Moreover, his dog Scout stayed loyal to Cameron’s side, barking until he was found. Cameron was removed from his vehicle, and the police pulled the car from the creek.

Tonya added that she was always proud of and loved him; Cameron lived his life to the fullest, always aiming for his next goal. She states, “Cameron, you are one of a kind legend.”

Many of Cameron’s friends are also sharing his pictures on their social media, remembering him as the kind and sweet person who always knew how to make people smile.

According to Cameron’s mother, Tonya, Cameron had a real estate license in California and had just signed up to start an X-ray technology school in Arizona.
