Haliey Welch, popularly known as the Hawk Tuah girl gained popularity through a 30-second-long video. To honor her, they have renamed Bob Hawke College in Subiaco to Bob Hawk Tuah College.
However, some tech-savvy trolls changed the high school’s name online, not the school itself, leading the staff to go to war with Google.

According to a receptionist there, they were aware that the school’s name on Google had been changed.
The school raised the changes with Google, but they have yet to address them.
Bob Hawke College is in Perth, Australia, while Hawk Tuah girl is from Tennessee!
Haliey Welch lives in rural Belfast, which is about 60 miles south of Nashville. She resides there with her grandmother and used to work previously at the spring factory but quit in June 2024.
Welch has been in the limelight since the video of her went viral and she has since then appeared on different podcasts and shows.

In fact, she even has her own podcast named Talk Tuah with Haliey Welch and has even released “hawk-tuah” merchandise.
On the other hand, the high school is in the state of Western Australia, Australia, and is located in the suburb of Subiaco.
On June 13, 2017, the State Government announced its plan to build a new inner-city secondary school in Subiaco and completed the project after more than 18 months.
In May 2019, the State Government decided to name the college after Bob Hawke, the 23rd Prime Minister of Australia.
In February 2020, the Honourable Kim Beazley AC, Governor of Western Australia, the Honourable Mark McGowan MLA Premier of Western Australia, and the Honourable Sue Ellery MLC Minister for Education and Training officially opened Bob Hawke College.
Hawke, who was also former Labor Prime Minister, served his tenure between 1983 to 1991. He passed away on the eve of the Federal election that took place in 2019.
