Welsh actress Alexandra Roach loves what she does and is proud of the work she’s done so far. Among her acting ventures, the series The Light in the Hall holds a special place in her heart.
In January 2023, she made her return to her hometown of Ammanford while filming for The Light in the Hall.
She was filming nearby Llandovery and Llandeilo for the dual-language series. Hence, this project served as a homecoming story for the actress.
Not only that, but it was also the first job back for Alexandra Roach, who just had a baby.

Talking about how she felt while filming in her hometown, Alexandra Roach stated, “I’d recently had a baby, so this was my first job back, and it was serendipitous almost that my first job was filming 10 minutes away from my mam and dad which has never happened before.“
This also helped her reconnect with family and friends, and she introduced her daughter to the Welsh language.
Alexandra Roach knew that her baby always wanted to speak Welsh. However, she didn’t know how she was going to put that into action since they lived in England.
The actress stated to the South Wales Guardian, “But then going back and immersing myself into the community and into a Welsh language community, it just became second nature to me.“
Alexandra Roach is a doting mom to her daughter. However, she seems to have mastered the art of keeping things private, as she hasn’t revealed their names yet.
Nevertheless, in March 2021, she announced that she was expecting their first child together with her husband, Jack Scales.
On her Facebook page, she wrote, “Can’t wait to meet my new pal,” and announced the great news.
Roach has mostly shared about her work life on her Instagram, whereas her hubby only glances at their family life.
From traveling around the world to enjoying events, the family seems to be having a wonderful time together.
