Frank Caprio, popularly known as the “nicest judge in the world,” announced his diagnosis of pancreatic cancer on December 6, 2023, just after celebrating his 87th birthday.
Caprio posted a video on his social media platforms describing his deteriorating health condition that resulted in pancreas cancer.
He further stated that though it is a long road, he is fully prepared to fight as hard as possible. He requested those who wish to support him in his hard times to keep him in their prayers.
In a YouTube video from January 26, 2024, Frank shared his experience of chemotherapy, describing it as not fun and how it makes you feel tired and lethargic, but he hopes that it will save his life.
He further posted a video on May 17, 2024, stating, “Whenever you receive a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, you automatically know it’s a death sentence, but i don’t feel that way longer.“
Caprio also said that he feels confident that Baptist Health Cancer Care has raised his spirits for winning the battle against the big C, with the greatest team of doctors combined with the newest radiation technology.
Frank Caprio underwent six months of chemotherapy and five treatments of radiation.
Since Frank’s treatment began, he has been sharing a lot of videos about his health updates, describing how the love of his family, friends, and supporters has given him hope not to give up.

After Frank Caprio’s final radiation treatment at Miami Cancer Institute, he rang the bell.
He also posted a video stating, “I am on my way to happy days.“
Frank said in an interview with People, “I’m ringing the bell of happiness, freedom from cancer, healing, giving hope to other people.”
Currently, Frank Caprio is living a cheerful life; he attended the 2024 Daytime Emmy Awards, where he won the award for Caught in Providence.
Frank also recently posted a video on his Instagram where he happily celebrates Father’s Day with his family.
