Recently, Indian-born Cricketer Monank Patel reached a new career height by scoring a half-century against Pakistan in the USA-Pakistan match in the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. He is currently the Captain of the United States national cricket team.
Beginning his International cricket career in 2018, Monank has come a long way in a short period with his playing skills and hard work. But still, he owes his career to his late mother, who passed away after losing a battle with terminal cancer.
During an exclusive talk with Cricbuzz, he said, “I had a special bond with my mom. She was my go-to person for all things life and cricket. She is the reason why I play cricket now.”
He further stated that his mother’s last words, ‘Keep playing and work very hard,’ always inspired him to do better.
Monank Patel has always considered his mom and his sister Ashvi his home
As the 31-year-old cricketer Monank Patel has yet to marry and have a wife, the only women he values most in his life now are his sister Ashvi Patel and his now-late mother.
On March 8, 2019, Monank Patel shared a picture of his mom and sister on his Instagram with the caption, “My Home, my heart, my every feeling, my every moment of Happiness is incomplete without you. You will be in my heart forever.”
As his mom is no longer alive, the brother-sister duo is close to each other. Monank, in fact, considers his sister Ashvi to be his second mother.
Well, considering all this, Monank Patel is undoubtedly extremely respectful and loving towards the significant women in his life, and this list hopefully includes his future wife as well. Meanwhile, he appears to be single, as he has hardly discussed having a girlfriend in the public sphere.
