Easton Stoltzfus was born on October 4, 2010, in Florida to American parents Marlin and Amber and passed away on May 24, 2024, at the age of 13.
According to his parents, Easton was a beloved son, grandson, brother, cousin, friend, and player who lost his life due to a brief but critical illness.
His favorite coach, Knight Sr., who taught him baseball since he was a young boy, said, “I can’t lie; I’m a mess right now because you are by far one of my favorite players to coach, and I consider you as well as your family my family.“
In his Instagram post, uploaded on May 25, 2024, Knight admires Easton, saying he was a kind and caring player who always ensured everyone felt like they were a part of the team.
Knight writes that he could not stop crying when talking about Easton and says, “Your presence on this earth will be missed.“
He also mentioned that in his remembrance, he and Deuce, who was like his brother, would be wearing his 18-number jersey.
Easton Stoltzfus’s family is raising money from GoFundme for his memorial services
Easton Stoltzfus was born to a modest but close-knit family in Florida. He has two brothers, Asher and Sissy Mina.
Due to their limited financial condition, it was tough for their family to provide a good memorial service for their beloved son.
Therefore, they requested financial support through GoFundMe, which was released on May 26, 2024. In the post, they requested people donate $18, which is Easton Stoltzfus’s baseball jersey number.
As of May 29, 2024, the family has raised $18,537 out of the $25,000 goal.
Many people who knew Easton personally are sending their condolences and flowers to him and praying for his family.
Further, his baseball players and schoolmates are mourning by putting their baseball bats and caps in front of their houses.
