The 37-year-old actor Johnny Wactor, who is famous for playing Dev Cerci’s father in the hit drama General Hospital, passed away on May 25, 2024, in Los Angeles, California, USA.

The Indianapolis: Men of Courage star’s mother, Scarlett Wactor, confirmed the news, saying Johnny Wactor was “light in a dark room.

She describes her son, Johnny, as a beautiful soul with a kind heart who lived life to the fullest. She emotionally adds, “There is a huge hole in all of us, and there is no fixing that.

Further, Johnny Wactor was the oldest among three children. He had two younger brothers, Lance Wactor and Grant Wactor.

All the members of Johnny Wactor’s family are talking about him in the media, whereas his father is nowhere to be seen in any of his news.

His parents might have gotten divorced when he was young; however, it is not yet confirmed, as Johnny Wactor has not mentioned anything regarding this matter.

Johnny Wactor’s godmother, Michaelle Kinard, set up a GoFundMe campaign to support his family

On May 28, 2024, Michaelle Kinard, Johnny Wactor’s godmother and his mother’s close friend, released a GoFundMe post to support his loved ones.

In the post, Michaelle revealed that she wants to raise money for Johnny Wactor’s mother, Scarlett Wactor, and his two brothers, Lance and Grant.

The family hopes to gain $100,000, while they have collected more than $35,000 in just one day.

Further, Michaelle stated his loss utterly breaks her heart and wants to provide justice for him.

Johnny Wactor was born to a middle-class family on August 31, 1986, in Charleston, South Carolina, USA.

As his mother said, Johnny wanted to be an actor since elementary school.

After completing his high school education at the Rollings Middle School of the Arts in South Carolina, he moved to Hollywood to follow his passion.

Johnny made his first television debut with Army Wives in 2007.

Throughout his 17 years of career in the entertainment industry, he has worked in more than 30 shows and movies, including every small and big role.

However, he is most famous for his appearances on General Hospital (1963), Siberia (2013), and USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage (2016).

Despite working in the movie industry for a long time, he has not gained much success. According to his brother, Johnny was working as a bartender at the time of his demise.
