She wrote, “18 years. That’s a long time. A relationship longer than my marriage. One that spans 40 percent of my life. Through the death of my mentor Gary Papa, to my wedding, to the birth of each of my 3 children, you’ve been there……“
Stating that Action News Viewers are incredible and loyal, she added, “I… just a girl from California whose love of sports, sports broadcasting, and storytelling brought her across the country……“
“Obviously, it didn’t take me long to realize that THIS… THIS is HOME and ALWAYS will be. As you have probably all already figured out, after 18 years, it is with incredible mixed emotions that I can now make official that my time at 6abc has come to an end. It’s profoundly bittersweet.“
Likewise, the vice president of news at 6abc, Thomas Davis, said that leaving the channel was her decision, stating, “I am thrilled to see her shift into new opportunities and continue to impact Philadelphia.“
