Muna Pandey, a 21-year-old girl originally from Bhojpur, eastern Nepal, came to the USA in 2021 to pursue her studies at a prestigious university and fulfill her American dreams.
After finishing high school at Koshi College, Itahari, Muna Pandey decided to pursue further studies in the United States. At 18, she eventually got an F-1 (Academic Student) visa.
Muna Pandey, her parents’ only child, was raised by her single mother, Anita Pandey Adhikari, whom her husband rejected. Struggling to raise her daughter alone, Anita worked tirelessly to help Muna pursue her dreams.
Furthermore, intending to build a stable lifestyle and help her mother financially, Muna began her new life in the USA and enrolled in a nursing program at Houston Community College in Houston, Texas, for her bachelor’s studies.
Carrying the baggage of hopes and dreams was living her life to the fullest, traveling to different places, and enjoying her American lifestyle until a recent tragic incident shattered all her hopes of fulfilling her and her mother’s dreams.
Muna Pandey was found lifeless in her apartment near Hillcroft in Houston, Texas, on Monday, August 26, 2024. Her demise has left her mother, Anita Pandey Adhikari, and her friends devastated.
Muna Pandey became the victim of the firearm incident
According to several reports, Muna Pandey was living alone in her apartment, where she became the victim of the firearm and suffered from several firearms wounds to her chest, which led to her demise.
Furthermore, Muna’s family and friends reported that her phone was off for more than two days before her tragic demise, which raised concerns among them.
On Monday afternoon, her apartment staff received an anonymous tip about Muna Pandey inside the apartment. As soon as they got the tip, they notified the Houston police, who discovered her body with several firearm injuries in her rented apartment around 5 pm.
Likewise, The Nepali Association of Houston’s Vice President Dron Gautam has informed the media about the tragic incident of Muna to her family in Nepal. Her mother, Anita Pandey, requested the government to find the convict.
In an interview with Gs celebrity, Muna’s mother Anita stated that a white American guy proposed to Muna on her last birthday in December. She also revealed that Muna and the white guy were dating, and her daughter used to send pictures of them to her.
Anita continued by saying that, just a few days before the tragic demise, Muna Pandey wasn’t responding to her calls and messages, and she thought that Muna was traveling with this white guy as they used to travel a lot.
Furthermore, Anita stated that Muna told her that she wasn’t sure about her relationship with the guy, to which Anita suggested Muna call off her relationship with the guy and stay away from him.
Muna Pandey’s mother, Anita Adhikari Pandey, believes that the white guy is responsible for her daughter’s demise; however, the investigation process is ongoing by the Houston Police Department.
