People are still speculating about Vybz Kartel’s relationship with wife Tanesha Johnson, as they have not addressed their separation or newer engagements.
Dancehall deejay Vybz Kartel and Tanesha Johnson started dating in the early 2000s and were married in common law.
Through their relationship, the couple have three children together. Their three sons were still very young when Vybz was convicted of the homicide of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.
Tanesha ‘Shorty’ Johnson was briefly active in the music industry and owns the label Short Boss Music.
She is currently the CEO of the beauty brand BossLadySkinCream and has a YouTube channel, ‘CookingWithTanesha.’
The couple reportedly separated in 2018, but Vybz later released an album ‘To Tanesha‘ in 2020, dedicated to his common-law wife.
In a recent light, however, Vybz Kartel referred to Sidem Oztürk as his wife on his social media.

Many people referred to Sidem Oztürk as Vybz Kartel’s wife, although the couple had not officially announced anything.
But it seems like they have made a different announcement. Recently, after being released from prison, Vybz shared a video of him and Sidem on his Instagram with the caption “ME AND WIFEY #AMOUT”
Sidem Oztürk studied psychology and is a social worker of Turkish heritage. She moved recently to Jamaica to be closer to her lover.
Reportedly, she and Vybz Cartel started talking to each other around 2015 but only met in 2019. She and Kartel confirmed their engagement while the deejay was still in prison in 2022.
In a 2022 interview with Fox 5 New York, she said, “Obviously, it does cause some difficulties. I can’t see him when I want to see him, can’t talk to him every time I want to talk to him.“
She added, “But when you know where your heart is, it’s not difficult, so I’m willing to wait.“
Apart from her relationship with Vybz, the social worker has chosen to keep her life private. Even her Instagram account, which has more than 3K followers, is private.
Now, after Vybz’s release, the couple may spend more time together with the kids!
