Twitter is in uproar after the picture of Snoop Dogg sitting in the front row during the women’s gymnastics qualification round at the 2024 Summer Olympics with Jordan Chiles’ parents, Gina and Timothy Chiles, claiming they are related when they are not.
Snoop Dogg and Jordan Chiles come from different ethnic backgrounds. The rapper is African-American, while the gymnast is a mix of Black and Latina.

The rapper’s real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., so the last name is unlikely to be the same. Thus, one should stop trying to build any familial connection between Snoop Dogg and Jordan Chiles.
Yet, this does not mean they cannot relish Jordan Chiles’s fantastic win together during the qualifier round, where she held third place from the USA team.

The American singer and reality TV star Snoop Dogg was born on October 20, 1971, in Long Beach, California, to parents mother Beverly Tate and Vernell Varnado.
However, his father, Vernell, left the home when he was just three months old, so his mother married Calvin Cordozar Broadus Sr., eventually leading to Snoop Dogg’s real name as Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr.
Snoop Dogg was the second child of his mother’s three sons, his half-brothers Jerry Wesley Carter and Bing Worthington Jr.
On the other hand, Jordan Chiles, the 23-year-old American artistic gymnast, was born on April 15, 2001, in Tualatin, Oregon, to Timothy and Gina Chiles. Her full name is Jordan Lucella Elizabeth Chiles.
Her hometown is Vancouver, Washington, but she lives in Los Angeles, California, with her parents and four siblings: Jazmin, Jade, Tajmen, and Tyrus.
If we look further down the family line of Snoop Dogg and Jordan Chiles, finding a common relative would be troublesome as they do not have one. So, it is safe to say that Snoop Dogg and Jordan Chiles are not related.
