Rick Ross gets into a physical confrontation with Drake’s OVO Records’ team over a Kendrick Lamar song

Recently, four-time BET Hip Hop Award-winning rapper Rick Ross got into a conflict with individuals from Drake’s OVO Sound label and his supporters.

The terrifying incident occurred during Rick Ross’s concert at the Ignite Music Festival, a huge multi-artist event in Vancouver, Canada.

A Twitter user named Akademiks TV released the video on 1 June 2024, saying, “Rick Ross just got jumped by the OVO GOONS for trying to play bot like us in Canada.” Within an hour, the video has covered the whole media.

The video shows unidentified people, assumedly OVO Sound label’s team and Rick Ross, attacking each other while his crews try hard to stop the fight.

Rick Ross’s concert in Canada was going well until he started playing Kendrick Lamar’s version of Not Like Us at the end.

A Twitter user named Sound uploaded a post explaining the situation. In the post, he wrote, “Drake supporters in Canada got into a fight with Rick Ross and his crew for supposedly playing Not Like Us by Kendrick at the end of his concert.“

According to the reports, one of the year’s biggest singles, Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar, is a festival anthem song that ended the beef between K Dot and Canadian rapper Drake.

As he tried to play the song during the concert, Drake’s record label, OVO Sound Technicians, reportedly tried to stop him, and fights ensued.

Further, the fan post also revealed that Drake, 37, liked the post of the viral fight video, suggesting he also thought what Ross did was wrong.

Despite the rising conflict, neither rapper has said anything about the incident in the media yet.
