Floating Infinity Pool / Kois Associated Architects

the ‘mirage’ residence is located on a steep and rocky hillside on the greek island of tinos, and overlooks the aegean sea with expansive views. designed by kois associated architects, the house was intended to closely integrate with its surroundings, described as ‘an invisible oasis hidden from the unsuspected eyes.’ the single level living space is covered by a rimless pool, creating a visual effect of water extending to the horizon and merging the dwelling with the seascape. additional materials are taken directly from the local landscape, so as to match the existing context.
