The Last Game is a story about risky football versus safe football. The scientist and the clones want to prove that riskless football is more effective. Ronaldo Fenomeno and the original players disagree, and they are willing to risk everything to prove the scientist wrong. There is only one way to know who is right: the Last Game.

The Last Game was directed by Jon Saunders and produced by advertising agencies Wieden+Kennedy (Portland) and Passion (London) in collaboration with Nike. This is a part of their Risk Everything campaign in the warm-up for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The impressive, inspiring short features animated avatars of footie superstars Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Neymar Júnior, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Andrés Iniesta, David Luiz, Franck Ribéry, Tim Howard and retired legend, Ronaldo Fenomeno. There’s even a split second cameo by LeBron.

It’s just a fun and epic ride, as Allen Brettman from The Oregonian put it, “…it’s part The Incredibles, part The Avengers, and part Dream Team, soccer edition.” Couldn’t have put it better myself. In fact, that’s exactly what I would’ve said if he hadn’t said it first!
