In this short documentary, Jay Z‘s Life+Times takes an unprecedented behind the scenes look at the creation of the mogul and superstar rapper’s Barclays Center opening concerts. Jay was the inaugural performer in the newly constructed arena and venue. This was his first large-scale concert in his home borough of Brooklyn and near where he was raised as a kid at the Marcy Houses.

The documentary short film was directed by Dustin Nakao Haider and produced by Scheme Engine.

Coincidentally, it’s also the man’s birthday today. Happy Birthday from The Superslice, HOV.
