It is with sadness that we report the passing of underground MC and frontman of Long Beach-based live hip-hop band Audible Mainframe, Victor Pontes-Macedo. He was known by his fans as MC Exposition or simply as ‘Expo’.
Victor recently returned to his hometown of Boston to deal with his battle, being diagnosed with stomach cancer. He died this past Saturday on the eve of Easter Sunday. He was only 31 years old at the time.
Residing in Los Angeles and meeting them via mutual friends, I got to personally know Victor and the members of Audible Mainframe. We attended their shows in Los Angeles and Santa Monica and stopped by their occasional house parties in the LBC when we had the chance to do so.
Pontes-Macedo was not only a talented artist with a fierce flow but he was, likewise, a good human being; a hardworking, humble and thoughtful person. Condolences are pouring out for him as he had many friends, fans and supporters in his circle. We offer our own condolences and well-wishes to the Audible Mainframe family (Johnny, David S., David M., Walt and Geoff), and to Victor’s family, friends and colleagues. V is for “Victory”. Rest in Power, Vic.
He will be missed.
