Sunik Kim aka Beat Culture is a 17 year-old Korean high school kid who is based in Hong Kong, but goes to boarding school in the United States. Beat Culture makes dense, ambient, messy glitch and dub tracks that are reminiscent of Tycho, James Blake, Washed Out, and M83. It’s hard to believe that Kim just started making music in the beginning of 2011!

At the header is the ethereal jungle music video for the track, Before You Go, from the album Toyko Dreamer album which came out on the January 15th. It was directed, Shot and Edited by Brendan Canty of Feel Good Lost.

Look out for Beat Culture, this young talent, he’ll be signed to Ghostly International (at least) in no time.
